Prosecuted 4 subjects gambling by lottery
(Baonghean.vn) - After nearly 1 month of establishing a special project, Do Luong District Police successfully broke up a group specializing in gambling by recording lottery numbers, arresting 5 subjects.
The Investigation Police Agency of Do Luong District Police (Nghe An) has just issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute 4 suspects including: Nguyen Van The (born in 1991); Nguyen Ba Mao (born in 1988); Nguyen Ba Dong (born in 1994); Tran Dang Hong (born in 1982), all from Hien Son Commune, Do Luong District, for the act of "Gambling". Only Nguyen Tho Toan (born in 1990, residing in Hien Son Commune) was administratively punished.
Previously, through monitoring and grasping the situation, Do Luong District Police discovered that in Hien Son commune, a gambling ring appeared in the form of recording lottery numbers on phones with very professional methods and tricks.

To focus on professional measures and quickly eradicate this professional gambling ring, Do Luong District Police have directed the establishment of Project 120B.
After a period of monitoring and collecting evidence and documents proving the criminal acts of the subjects, at the end of January 2020, the Special Task Force eliminated the group and arrested 5 subjects Nguyen Van The, Nguyen Ba Mao, Nguyen Ba Dong, Tran Dang Hong and Nguyen Tho Toan for gambling in the form of recording lottery numbers on the phone.
The seized evidence included 5 phones that the subjects used to send gambling messages and 48 million VND.
