Couple prosecuted for trafficking 2,000 drug pills
(Baonghean.vn) - Yen and Quoc contacted people near the Vietnam-Laos border to find ways to buy drugs, then transported the drugs through the forest to Vietnam and brought them to Vinh city for consumption.
On July 7, Vinh City Police announced that they had completed the case file, prosecuting Le Dinh Quoc (born 1992) and Nguyen Thi Hai Yen (born 1985), both residing in Son Tay Commune, Huong Son District, Ha Tinh Province, for illegal drug trafficking. It is worth mentioning that the young couple had already taken up the drug habit and had reckless synthetic drug trafficking activities.

Accordingly, Yen and Quoc often contacted subjects near the Vietnam-Laos border to find ways to buy synthetic drugs from Laos, then transported the drugs through the forest to Vietnam in the mountainous district of Huong Son, Ha Tinh.
From here, Quoc and Yen used a personal car with a Lao license plate to transport drugs to Vinh city for consumption. At first glance, when in the car, people thought this was a couple going out or traveling, but when the police checked, they discovered 2,000 synthetic drug pills hidden in the trunk.
