A "stoned" man holding a gas cylinder threatening to explode inside a house was temporarily detained by police after many hours of unsuccessful persuasion.
A “stoned” subject causing chaos in a rural village in Phu Binh village, Vinh Thanh commune, Nha Trang city (Khanh Hoa) was controlled by Police 113 of the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police, temporarily detained and brought to Vinh Thanh Commune Police for investigation and handling according to the law on the evening of January 3.

Earlier, at around 12:30 noon the same day, Vo Phi Chau (33 years old), residing in Phu Binh village, Vinh Thanh commune, Nha Trang city, walked to Ga market area, Vinh Thanh commune to steal a motorbike from a nearby motorbike repair shop. The owner of the motorbike shop discovered and chased him, but Chau accelerated his motorbike to his home, then carried a 12kg gas cylinder from the kitchen, shouted loudly, and threatened to set it on fire if anyone entered the house.
Upon receiving the report from Vinh Thanh Commune Police, a 113 Police task force arrived at the scene and tried to persuade him for many hours but failed, so they had to break into the house to control and detain Vo Phi Chau and take him to Vinh Thanh Commune Police. During the time of barricading himself, this subject used a razor blade to cut himself in the neck, causing bleeding. It is known that Vo Phi Chau is a drug addict and is under the management of the authorities and local government. At the time of the incident, Vo Phi Chau showed signs of being "high" on crystal meth.
