After completing the injury recovery treatment phase as announced by Hanoi Club,Warlikewas called up by head coach Park Hang-seo to join the Vietnam National Team to participate in the AFF Suzuki Cup 2020. This midfielder joined his teammates in Vung Tau on November 27, and at the same time, the Vietnam Football Federation also registered Do Hung Dung in the official list of the Vietnam National Team as required by the tournament's Organizing Committee.

However, the deadline for making invitation letters for players competing in the AFF Suzuki Cup is November 24, while in the case of Do Hung Dung, the application will only be submitted on November 29.

Although the Vietnam Football Federation and the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore have completed the necessary procedures for Hung Dung to be able to attend the AFF Suzuki Cup 2020, the local authorities still follow the regulations of the Singaporean Government and do not agree to issue an invitation letter to this midfielder.

Thus, Do Hung Dung will miss the AFF Suzuki Cup 2020. This is a very regrettable thing for Do Hung Dung in particular and for the Vietnam National Team in general. With the absence of Hung Dung, the number of players in the Vietnam National Team competing in the AFF Suzuki Cup 2020 is 29, because with the above regulations of the Singapore Government, the Vietnam National Team will not be able to have any other additions. Even in the case of midfielder Ly Cong Hoang Anh, although he has an invitation letter, because he did not travel on December 1 with the team, he is not able to enter Singapore.
