Checking election preparation work at constituency No. 3, Nghe An province

(Baonghean.vn) - On April 29, the Election Committee for the 14th National Assembly in Unit 3 of Nghe An province held its first meeting to deploy its tasks. Comrade Cao Thi Hien, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Election Committee chaired the meeting.

The National Assembly Election Committee No. 3 was established in the 14th National Assembly Election Unit No. 3 of the province, including Quynh Luu and Yen Thanh districts and Hoang Mai town, with over 286,000 voters and 687 voting groups. In the 3rd constituency, there are 5 candidates to elect 3 National Assembly deputies.

At the meeting, the Election Committee listened to a report assessing the election preparation work in general and the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly in particular at constituency No. 3; exchanged and discussed the implementation of the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly according to the assigned tasks of the Election Committee members; and commented on the draft notice assigning tasks to the Election Committee members.

Comrade Cao Thi Hien spoke and requested members of the Election Committee to proactively check and implement election procedures and regulations.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Cao Thi Hien requested members of the Election Committee to proactively conduct inspections at the grassroots level, focusing on inspecting and urging the implementation of regulations and instructions on elections, the preparation and posting of lists of voters and candidates, the organization and arrangement of polling stations; promptly distribute documents for elections, provide professional training; strengthen information, propaganda and agitation on elections; grasp the situation and promptly resolve complaints and denunciations; ensure security, order and information security during the election; and properly implement the reporting regime as prescribed.

On the same afternoon, the Election Committee will divide into 3 groups to inspect the actual preparation work in localities of constituency No. 3./.
