Inspecting the publication and use of party newspapers in Tuong Duong and Ky Son

(Baonghean.vn) - On October 12 and 13, a working delegation including the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Nghe An Newspaper, and the Provincial Ethnic Committee inspected a number of Party cells and villages regarding the purchase and use of Party newspapers in Tuong Duong and Ky Son districts.

The purchase and use of Party newspapers are regulated in Directive 11 of the Politburo, Directive 03 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Decision 633 of the Prime Minister on the delivery and use of 20 newspapers for organizations and individuals in ethnic minority and particularly disadvantaged areas.

Up to now, Tuong Duong is the only unit that has achieved 100% of Party cells and focal points ordering and using Party newspapers. In particular, Party cells of the District Party Committee, People's Committee, schools, health care, police, district military command... still effectively use Party newspapers for political and professional tasks.

The working group inspected the newspaper distribution at the Party cell secretaries, prestigious people, and village chiefs of Tam Dinh and Tam Quang communes. Accordingly, the delivery of newspapers according to regulations to the subjects was quite complete, receiving 2-3 times a week and the use was also quite good, promptly bringing information through press publications to cadres, party members, and people.

The delegation also spent time working with the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee to listen to the results of the implementation of the issuance and use of Party newspapers in Ky Son. Accordingly, Ky Son has 184 village and hamlet Party cells issued with Nhan Dan and Nghe An newspapers, the remaining focal points and Party cells are basically complete, only 5 issues are missing in the Keng Du Party Committee and the Town. Inspection at the Party cells and prestigious people of the two communes of Muong Tip and Ta Ca showed that the use is relatively good and effective in applying to socio-economic development in the area.

However, the working group shared some characteristics with the Postal Service. Due to difficulties in terrain and traffic, newspaper delivery to village elders, prestigious people and Party cell secretaries was slow and in some places incomplete.

On behalf of the district leaders, Comrade Vi Hoe - Member of the Provincial Party Committee - Secretary of the District Party Committee assessed that Nghe An Newspaper had a positive impact, contributing to the implementation of political tasks and socio-economic development of the locality, and at the same time accepted the delegation's comments to strengthen leadership and direction to better implement Directive 11 of the Politburo and Directive 03 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee as well as Decision 663 of the Prime Minister.
