At the working session, representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development reported to the delegation on the work of ensuring the safety of dams and irrigation reservoirs in Nghe An.

Nghe An has two large irrigation systems, with over 620 reservoirs, more than 420 dams, and more than 700 electric pumping stations.

Currently, in the province, there are still many weak dams, dam bodies built by hand, posing many potential risks of insecurity when the rainy and stormy season comes. After storm No. 3, many reservoirs in Nghe An were overflowed, many damaged irrigation works have not been repaired yet, so coping with storm No. 4 will be more difficult.
