Check and review election preparation work in Thai Hoa town

Up to now, Thai Hoa town has established the People's Council election committee and guided communes and wards to establish election committees. Thai Hoa has also organized the second consultation. The result of the first consultation is that the number of elected representatives at the town level is 30; the number of candidates is 70. At the commune and ward levels, the total number of elected People's Council representatives is 212; the total number of candidates is 430.

At the second consultation session, the Standing Committee of the Town Fatherland Front made a list of 70 people to present to the conference and received high consensus. Currently, the town is preparing the next steps to conduct the third consultation conference.

The organization of collecting voters' opinions at the place of residence for candidates was organized methodically and in accordance with the procedure. The town also connected 9/9 communes and wards to participate in the professional training conference on election work organized by the Provincial Election Committee. By April 4, 2021, 100% of communes and wards in the area had completed and posted the voter list at the polling stations with a total of 46,211 voters.

After inspecting the actual election preparation work in Dong Hieu and Nghia My communes and listening to the report of the Thai Hoa town Election Committee, the delegates focused on clarifying the following contents: Candidate standards; reviewing and ensuring the balance according to regulations; ensuring security and order, food safety; second round of propaganda work; handling petitions, complaints and denunciations; issuing documents directing and guiding the election...

Concluding the working session, Ms. Cao Thi Hien - Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Election Committee highly appreciated the initial results of the implementation of the election work of Thai Hoa town. She emphasized that this is an extremely important political task, so the Election Committee of Thai Hoa town needs to absorb and correct the opinions of the members of the inspection team; continue to monitor, closely follow the grassroots, promptly remove difficulties and obstacles. All are aimed at ensuring requirements in both form and content. The town also needs to focus on the third consultation, make a list of voters, carry out the remaining steps, urgently train, and focus on grasping the people's situation. At the same time, promote propaganda and information work.
