(Baonghean.vn) - This morning (August 16), Ky Son district overcame the consequences of the heavy rain on the night of August 15, and at the same time, surveyed and proposed solutions to prevent flooding in the Muong Xen town area.

On the evening of August 15, in the districtKy SonHeavy rain occurred in many places.

Mr. Tho Ba Re - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ky Son district said that the local rain last night in Ky Son district lasted from 7pm to 9pm, with rainfall of about 120mm. Heavy rain caused flooding in many places, the most severe of which was in the areaMuong Xen town, some places were flooded knee-deep, soil, rocks and trees from above flowed down, causing traffic jams at night. National Highway 7A section through Muong Xen town was covered with thick soil and rocks, in some places 10cm.

This morning, the district leaders went on a field inspection. Through this, the district will propose to the Department of Road Management to add 3 more drainage culverts across National Highway 7A, through Muong Xen town to reduce the amount of water from the mountain top, when there is a flood.heavy rainhappened. Up to now, all roads in the district in general and the town area in particular have been opened to traffic and people can travel. However, to clean the road surface and avoid dust when the sun comes up, the district has mobilized people to continue to fix it by pumping water to wash away the soil.
