(Baonghean.vn) - A tornado suddenly struck before dawn, causing dozens of houses in a border commune of Ky Son district to have their roofs blown off.

At 5:28 a.m. on April 18, a tornado occurred in Na Ngoi commune, Ky Son district. The tornado swept through Tang Phang, Tong Khu, Ka Tren, and Ka Duoi villages, causing many houses to have their roofs blown off and many trees to fall.

Major Mai Viet Anh - Deputy Head of Na Ngoi Border Post said: Currently, the unit has sent working groups to coordinate with the Party Committee, local authorities of Na Ngoi commune and forces to the areas to help people quickly overcome the consequences and stabilize their lives.

"We are currently conducting a full assessment of the damage and have a plan to help people stabilize their lives," said Mr. Xong Ba Denh, Secretary of the Na Ngoi Commune Youth Union.

Previously, on the afternoon of April 6, a tornado and hailstorm also occurred in this area, causing severe damage.
