Clarifying voters' recommendations on the construction of Giang River Bridge and Chua Market Road in Thanh Chuong District
(Baonghean.vn) - Meeting with voters in Cat Ngan area (Thanh Chuong district), Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Nam Dinh answered and clarified voters' requests on building a rigid bridge over Giang river and upgrading the road from Chua market (Phong Thinh commune) to Thanh Duc commune.

On the afternoon of June 2, at Thanh Lien commune, Thanh Chuong district, the Provincial People's Council delegates: Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Tran Thi Thanh Huyen - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Dai Dong commune had a meeting with voters of 10 communes in Cat Ngan area: Phong Thinh, Cat Van, Thanh Hoa, Thanh Nho, Thanh Son, Thanh Duc, Hanh Lam, Thanh My, Thanh Tien and Thanh Lien.
The province needs to pay attention to allocating investment capital for traffic and irrigation works.
At the meeting with voters, Provincial People's Council delegate Tran Thi Thanh Huyen - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Dai Dong commune informed voters of the expected content and agenda of the regular mid-year session of 2023 of the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026. Accordingly, in this session, the Provincial People's Council will consider 27 reports and 31 resolutions on socio-economic and activities of the Provincial People's Council.

Expressing their thoughts and aspirations, local voters highly appreciated the decisive management role of the government from the provincial to the district level. Thereby creating many positive changes in the socio-economic situation of the province and the locality; along with the role of the Provincial People's Council in solving many pressing practical issues.

In addition, many voters also raised concerns and proposed that relevant levels and sectors take action to resolve the issue. Voter Bui Gia Hao (Cat Van commune) reported that the commune currently has more than 290 hectares of rice, but the irrigated area only ensures about 50%, especially in the spring crop of 2023, about 40 hectares have not been irrigated at all, affecting productivity. The province is requested to balance the investment budget, upgrade the Cat Van pumping station to meet irrigation needs, and improve agricultural production efficiency.

Voter Ngo Tri Son (Thanh Lien commune) reported that the system of electric wires and poles on some routes is deteriorating, not only affecting the quality of electricity for daily life but also threatening the safety of people during the rainy and stormy season, and requested that authorities pay attention to resolving the issue.
Voter Dau Ba Son (Thanh Nho commune) proposed that the province propose the Ministry of Transport to arrange investment resources for a hard bridge to replace the Giang River suspension bridge, which is currently degraded and affecting people's travel.
Voters also recommended that the province upgrade the road from Phong Thinh commune to Thanh Duc to National Highway 46C and Ho Chi Minh road, which are now degraded, contributing to socio-economic development in these localities.

The issue that many voters reflected and proposed was related to the story of merging communes and hamlets, such as the proposal to increase the allowance level for non-professional hamlet-level workers after the merger and heads of hamlet-level youth unions and associations...
Clarifying some issues of concern to voters
Following voters’ opinions, representatives of several district-level units specifically explained many issues under their authority. Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Nguyen Nam Dinh also accepted voters’ recommendations, reflections, and proposals and affirmed that they would forward them to competent authorities for resolution.
Regarding the power grid infrastructure and the supply of electricity for people's daily life, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council highly appreciated the receptiveness and gradual resolution of difficulties and shortcomings of the Electricity sector in recent times; at the same time, he requested the sector to continue to proactively follow each locality, hamlet and commune to resolve and improve the quality of electricity service for people.

Comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh also informed voters about the policy of upgrading the Chua market road (Phong Thinh commune) to Thanh Duc commune, which has been included in the capital plan from the province's surplus revenue in 2023, and is expected to be implemented this year. In particular, the project of a rigid bridge across the Giang River to replace the current Chua market suspension bridge has been approved by the Central Government to be included in the investment policy using ODA capital; within its authority, the Provincial People's Council will propose to the Provincial People's Committee to direct relevant sectors and units to closely monitor the Ministry of Transport so that this project can be implemented soon.
Regarding a number of works and projects serving people's livelihoods in communes, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested the authorities at all levels of Thanh Chuong district to integrate resources from three national target programs, combined with mobilizing socialized resources for implementation to solve practical difficulties.
