For the first time, 3D images of the pyramid's internal structure are revealed
By using 3D laser scanning, cosmic rays... Egyptian experts have built the first multidimensional image of the internal structure of the pyramid.
Decoding the ancient Egyptian pyramids has always been the goal of archaeologists. Many documents have provided information about treasures, traps and secret tunnels that exist inside the pyramids. But experts still want to record the most realistic images of the mysteries hidden in this pyramid.

Recently, by using thermal sensing technology, 3D laser scanning, and "cosmic ray" detection equipment, Egyptian and foreign experts have gradually clarified the mystery of this ancient wonder.
Specifically, the team used a "cosmic ray" detector to map the internal structure of the 4,600-year-old Bent pyramid, located 40km (25 miles) south of Cairo and built by Pharaoh Sneferu.

To see deep inside the pyramid, the team placed emulsion films inside the pyramid's lower chamber to capture "muons" - particles that exist in the atmosphere. After 40 days, these films will be collected and developed.
Once the analysis was complete, the team had a complete map of the internal structure of the pyramids.

Mehdi Tayoubi, president of the Heritage Conservation Institute, said the films placed inside the pyramids collect data on X-ray particles called "muons". "Muons" exist in the Earth's atmosphere, pass through gaps, and can be absorbed by large, thick rocks...
For the first time, the internal structure of a pyramid has been revealed by muons. The images show the pyramid's secret chamber, located about 18 meters deep. It has two entrances, leading to two small corridors, stacked on top of each other.

This is not the first time scientists have attempted to use muons to map the inside of the pyramids.

Back in the 1960s, a scientist named Luis Alvarez used a similar technique to find a hidden chamber inside the Chephren Pyramid of Giza, but the technology at the time wasn't sensitive enough to detect any details.
Experts are continuing to collect and soon announce their findings in Egypt.
