For the first time, Vinh University organizes Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day

(Baonghean.vn) - This is an opportunity to honor readers, creators, publishers, printers, distributors, libraries, book keepers, collectors, promoters and organizations and individuals who have contributed to the development of reading culture in the community.

Afternoon of April 21,Vinh University coordinated with the Political Department of Military Region 4 to organize a rally to celebrate Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2022.

Previously, to bring reading culture to a new level, on November 4, 2021, the Prime Minister signed and issued Decision No. 1862/QD-TTg, taking April 21 every year as Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, replacing the previous name Vietnam Book Day.

2022 is the first year that Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day is officially implemented nationwide to affirm the position, role and importance of books in improving knowledge, skills, developing thinking, educating and training human personality.

At the same time, encourage and develop the reading movement in the community, create a favorable reading environment; form reading habits in families, schools, agencies and organizations, contributing to building a learning society.

In 2022, Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day will be held for the first time with activities such as book exhibitions and introductions at Vinh University Library and the school's second campus, and giving books to students in difficult circumstances.
