Provincial leaders inspect medicinal plant growing and processing model in Ky Son
(Baonghean.vn) - On April 14, Mr. Hoang Nghia Hieu - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and his delegation worked in Ky Son district. Accompanying them were Mr. Vi Hoe - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Ky Son District Party Committee; Ms. Thai Huong - Chairwoman of TH Group and representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
During the working trip, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the delegation offered incense to commemorate the martyrs and presented 1.3 billion VND to support Muong Long commune to repair and embellish the martyrs' cemetery of Muong Long commune.

The provincial delegation visited and inspected the trial planting area of precious medicinal plants of TH Group at Pu Xai Lai Leng mountain, in Buoc Mu village, Na Ngoi commune, Ky Son district. This trial planting area of medicinal plants has a total area of 5 hectares, located at an altitude of 1,500 to over 2,000 m above sea level. This location is suitable for planting precious herbs such as Panax notoginseng, Codonopsis pilosula, Pu Xai Lai Leng ginseng. In particular, purple orchid - a precious herb, has also been successfully planted and is being widely propagated.
The delegation visited the TH Group's medicinal herb extraction factory in Muong Long commune. With modern equipment, the factory will purchase all medicinal herb products in the area. The delegation then visited the production area of Muong Long Medicinal Herbs Joint Stock Company, a member of TH Group. Currently, the medicinal herb production area of this company covers an area of 136 hectares, attracting and creating jobs for nearly 20 local workers, with an income of 8 to 10 million VND/person/month.

Talking with the leaders of Ky Son district and TH Group, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu said that with the geographical, climatic and soil characteristics of the two communes of Na Ngoi and Muong Long (Ky Son), there is a strong potential for growing medicinal plants and developing tourism, so it is necessary to expand from 5 hectares of experimental planting to 200 hectares of medicinal plants as desired, both protecting the environment and creating jobs for people, helping people have a stable income in the forest.

On this occasion, TH Group also presented 1 billion VND to Muong Long commune to build a road to area B of Muong Long commune; presented 300 million VND to support Ky Son mountainous district to build 5 gratitude houses for poor families in Muong Long commune./.
