Installing traffic lights at the 'crossroads of death' in Vinh city
(Baonghean.vn) - The intersection of Le Mao extended street - Ngo Duc Ke and the intersection of Phong Dinh Cang - Nguyen Huy Oanh - Hoang Thi Loan streets (Vinh City) has installed a traffic light system to reduce traffic accidents.
The intersection of Le Mao extended street and Ngo Duc Ke street has long been a "hot spot" for traffic safety in Vinh city. Every day, the traffic volume here is very large, especially during rush hours, vehicles "go their own way", causing chaos, danger and loss of urban beauty.

The intersection of Phong Dinh Cang - Nguyen Huy Oanh - Hoang Thi Loan is no exception. This intersection is located next to Le Viet Thuat High School, so during rush hour, students flock to the street, causing traffic jams...
Faced with that situation, Vinh City People's Committee issued Decision No. 6523/QD-UBND approving the project to install traffic lights at these two deadly intersections.

The project is invested by Vinh City People's Committee, with a total investment of 3.9 billion VND, drawn from Vinh City budget and other legally mobilized capital sources.
In particular, the traffic light system is equipped with solar panels to ensure normal operation in the event of a power outage, helping traffic flow 24/7. The installation work has been basically completed and put into operation.
