Arts Festival of the Cooperative Alliance of 6 North Central provinces: Nghe An delegation won first prize

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, Vice President of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance Le Van Nghi presented an overview of the establishment process of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, recognizing and praising the contributions of the Cooperative Alliance of the North Central provinces to the overall achievements of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance.

In addition to the achieved results, he also requested the Cooperative Union of the North Central provinces to improve management skills, promote the application of science and technology, and focus on building new cooperative models in localities.

The units took turns performing art performances about the beauty of their homeland, honoring the achievements in the 25 years of establishment of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance.

In the final result, Nghe An Province Cooperative Union won the first prize, the second prize went to Thanh Hoa Province Cooperative Union and Ha Tinh Province Cooperative Union, and the third prize went to Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue Province Cooperative Unions.

Currently, Nghe An province has 677 cooperatives, including 477 agricultural service cooperatives, 116 non-agricultural cooperatives, and 59 credit funds. The number of cooperatives operating effectively is 301, 291 operating on average, and 55 operating ineffectively. The cooperative sector attracts more than 265,782 members and 53,265 regular workers. Many cooperatives have participated in building rural infrastructure, investing in purchasing modern machinery and advanced technology in production... The whole province also has 2,951 cooperative groups with 35,086 members, the number of workers increases by an average of 250 workers each year with an income of about 3 - 3.5 million VND/month, especially there are members of fishing cooperative groups earning 9 - 10 million VND/month.
