Consecutive arrests of many illegal sand and gravel dredging ships on Lam River

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 10, the leaders of Do Luong district awarded the Do Luong District Police for their achievements in arresting many ships illegally mining sand and gravel on Lam River.

Previously, at 12 noon on May 7, at the border area between Ngoc Son commune (Do Luong) and Linh Son commune (Anh Son) on Lam river, Do Luong district police caught two ships illegally mining sand and gravel.

The ship owners are Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc (born in 1964) and Mr. Phan Trong Lieu (born in 1989), both residing in Linh Son commune, Anh Son district. The two ship owners do not have a license, registration, or related documents for sand and gravel mining activities on the Lam River.

Most recently, at 9:00 a.m. on May 9, Do Luong District Police inspected illegal sand and gravel mining activities in the border area between Luu Son and Dang Son communes.

Through inspection, Do Luong District Police discovered and recorded 4 ships illegally mining sand and gravel. The ship owners were Mr. Tran Van Lam (born in 1990); Nguyen Trong Hieu (born in 1988), both residing in Block 1, Do Luong Town; Nguyen Thanh Son (born in 1981, residing in Hamlet 3, Dang Son Commune) and Le Van Diep (born in 1999, residing in Vinh An Commune, Vinh Loc, Thanh Hoa Province).

Currently, Do Luong District Police are continuing to investigate and clarify the case.
