"Charity class" eliminates illiteracy for 34 women in border commune
(Baonghean.vn) - On December 12, Tam Quang Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard) coordinated with the District Department of Education and Training, People's Committee of Tam Quang Commune, Tuong Duong District to organize the closing ceremony of "Love Class".

The class opened in April 2018 with 34 female students from 3 border villages, with rugged and isolated terrain, with 4 ethnic groups living there including Thai, Kinh, Tay Poong and Dan Lai. Among them, the youngest student was born in 1995, the oldest was born in 1952. The green-uniformed teachers of Tam Quang Border Guard Station directly assigned each other to teach, guide and guide the students in their studies.
After 7 months of studying (3 sessions per week, at night), 34 students were able to read and write. At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 4 students with good academic achievements.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Son - Vice Chairman of Tam Quang Commune People's Committee said: "The charity class" has helped women members learn to read and write, contributing to improving knowledge of economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction. In the coming time, promoting the results achieved from this class, Tam Quang Commune People's Committee will organize for members to continue participating in open vocational training classes in the commune according to the wishes of the women.
