Boil chicken deliciously without adding water
Normally, people often boil chicken with water. However, boiling chicken without water will make the chicken much sweeter. You can do it in 2 ways:
Method 1:

- 1 chicken about 1.5kg; 1 bag of coarse salt
Perform:
- Clean chicken, rinse with salt water to remove odor, then drain.
- Sprinkle the prepared coarse salt into the pot, making sure the coarse salt covers the bottom of the pot so that the chicken does not touch the bottom. You can use a rice cooker, or a pot with a tight lid to best retain steam.
- Put the chicken in the pot, place the chicken on the layer of coarse salt sprinkled on the bottom of the pot, you can leave the chicken whole or cut it in half depending on the purpose of use. However, if you cut the chicken into pieces, it will cook faster and more evenly.
- Turn on the stove, cook over low heat for about 20 - 25 minutes depending on the size of the chicken. When the pot of chicken smells fragrant, check to see if the chicken has reached the desired softness.
- Turn off the stove, take it out and put it on a plate. Let the chicken cool down, cut into bite-sized pieces and enjoy.
Note: While boiling, you should not open the lid to check too many times, as this will not only make the chicken take a long time to cook but also lose the rich flavor of this dish.

- 1 chicken; Lemon leaves; Lemongrass; Green chili; Coarse salt + refined salt.
Perform:
Wash the chicken, leave it whole. Pound salt, a little MSG and green chili (must be green chili for the chicken to be fragrant). Marinate the chicken with salt and chili.
Use a thick-bottomed pot, line the bottom of the pot with a layer of coarse salt, then crushed and cut lemongrass, then lemon leaves, then add the chicken, and top with a layer of lemon leaves. Steam for about 60 minutes. You should use a pot with a transparent glass lid to easily observe the chicken. During the steaming process, you should only open the lid to check for at least the first 30 minutes. Avoid opening the pot frequently as this will lose heat and cause the chicken to take a long time to cook.
This way of steaming chicken is similar to steaming with salt, but the outstanding features are lemon leaves, lemongrass, and chili peppers.
