Conflict at a funeral, young man stabbed to death

On the afternoon of May 27, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Nhan - Deputy Head of Nghi Loc District Police said that the unit had handed over Pham Van Niem (born in 1985, residing in Hamlet 11, Nghi Van Commune, Nghi Loc District) to the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Province Police for investigation according to authority.

According to initial information, at around 2:30 p.m. on May 26, Mr. Thai Viet H. (born in 1988, residing in Hamlet 14, Nghi Van Commune) went to the house of a neighbor to attend a death anniversary. There, a conflict arose between Mr. H. and Niem, leading to a fight.

After being stopped by everyone, Niem went home. About 30 minutes later, Niem took the knife and turned to find Mr. H. and suddenly stabbed him in the stomach, causing the victim to collapse.

Immediately afterward, his family took Mr. H. to Nghe An General Hospital for emergency treatment. However, due to severe injuries, Mr. H. died at 10:50 a.m. on May 27.

Authorities have conducted an autopsy to investigate the incident. Niem was arrested by the police shortly thereafter.

It is known that Niem has a previous conviction for intentionally causing injury. The case is currently under investigation.
