A man from Nghe An had his illegal Camry confiscated and was fined 40 million VND.
(Baonghean.vn) - Due to trading in smuggled goods, a person in Vinh City (Nghe An) was administratively fined 40 million VND and had his Toyota Camry car confiscated.
Nghe An Provincial People's Committee said that Mr. Le Minh Thong - Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee signed Decision No. 5697/QD-UBND to administratively fine Mr. Ta Thien Ha (born in 1978, residing in Trung Do ward, Vinh city) 40 million VND.
Mr. Ha committed the administrative violation: "Trading in smuggled goods in cases where the value of smuggled goods is from 100 million VND or more" as prescribed in Point k, Clause 1, Article 17, Decree 185/2013/ND-CP of the Government".
Mr. Ha confessed honestly and actively cooperated with the authorities in handling the case, so he should be considered for mitigating circumstances in his sentence.
In addition to being fined 40 million VND, Mr. Ha was also fined and had his Toyota Camry car with frame number 4T1BB46K78U045026, engine number 2AZ9007160, cylinder capacity 2400cc, manufactured in 2007, confiscated. The car is currently being detained by Nghe An Customs Department.
The decision also stated: “Nghe An Customs Department shall issue the decision on sanctioning and take necessary measures to ensure the collection of sufficient fines from the sanctioned individuals; hire a professional auction organization in the area to auction the confiscated administrative violation exhibits stated in Clause 2, Article 1 of this Decision in accordance with Article 82 of the Law on Handling of Administrative Violations”.
