Heavy rain causes subsidence on an unfinished road in Vinh City
At the intersection between Le Mao Street and Tran Phu Street (Vinh City), right at the pedestrian crossing, a subsidence appeared, posing a high risk of accidents for traffic participants.
The cause of the subsidence was determined to be due to the road surface being under construction, specifically the digging of a technical trench across the road. Although the trench had been temporarily filled with soil, after the heavy rain this afternoon, the ground was eroded, creating a dangerous subsidence right in the middle of the traffic lane.
Worryingly, there are currently no warning signs or barriers in the area. Motorcyclists and low-riding car drivers can easily be surprised when passing through, especially at night or in rainy, windy conditions with limited visibility.
In fact, there have been cases of people falling off their bikes because they did not have time to react when they suddenly encountered a collapsed road.

Faced with the above situation, authorities and construction units need to urgently inspect, take remedial measures, erect barriers and warning signs promptly to ensure people's safety and avoid unfortunate accidents./.
