Heavy rain, many hydroelectric plants in Nghe An continue to discharge flood water
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 9, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense announced the operation and regulation of water at the Chi Khe Hydropower Plant reservoir in Con Cuong district; Khe Bo Hydropower Plant in Tuong Duong district.
Chi Khe Hydropower Reservoir water discharge from 13:00 on September 9
Accordingly, at 8:45 a.m. on September 9, 2022, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received Notice No. 09/2022/TB-CT dated September 9, 2022 of theChi Khe Hydropower Planton the operation and regulation of water in Chi Khe Hydropower Plant reservoir.

To ensure the safe operation of Chi Khe Hydropower Plant's reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and inter-reservoir procedures on the Ca River basin, Chi Khe Hydropower Plant plans to discharge water from Chi Khe Hydropower Plant's reservoir as follows:
Estimated time of spillway discharge: At 13:00, September 9, 2022.
Discharge flow: Total discharge flow is about 520 m3/s to 900 m3/s (including through the generator and spillway valve opening and closing mode) and may vary depending on the water flow to the lake.
The spillway discharge will continue until the water flow to the lake drops below 520 m3/S.
Operation and regulation of water reservoir of Khe Bo Hydropower Plant
After Chi Khe Hydropower Plant, at 11:45 a.m. this morning, September 9, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense continued to receive Notice No. 272/TB-KHPP dated September 9, 2022 ofKhe Bo Hydroelectric Planton the operation and regulation of water in Khe Bo Hydropower Plant reservoir.
Accordingly, Khe Bo Hydropower Plant plans to operate the discharge of water from Khe Bo Hydropower Reservoir as follows:
Estimated time of spillway discharge: At 4:00 p.m. on September 9, 2022.
Discharge flow: Total discharge flow is about 487 m3/s to 1,500 m3/s (including generation through 480m units)3/s and over the spillway from 20m3/s to 200 m3/s) may vary depending on the water flow to the lake.
Time to end water discharge through spillway: Until water flow to the lake drops below 487 m3/S.
