Buy drugs, bring them home for lover to use

On the afternoon of May 24, the People's Court of Tan Ky district opened a criminal trial against Huynh Van Hieu (born in 1992, residing in Ward 21, Phan Ri Cua town, Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province) and Cao Thi Vuong (born in 1996, residing in Nuoc Xanh hamlet, Giai Xuan commune, Tan Ky district) for the crime of "Illegal possession of narcotics".
According to the indictment, on February 19, 2018, Hieu went to the Eastern Bus Station to buy a ticket to go back to his hometown in Nghe An with Vuong. There, Hieu met a man who worked as a motorbike taxi driver (name and address unknown) and bought a package of drugs and hid it on his person.
On the same day, February 19, Hieu and Vuong took a bus from Ho Chi Minh City to Vuong's house in Tan Ky district. During their stay, Hieu repeatedly took out drugs to use.
On March 1, Hieu and Vuong went to Tan Ky town to play. Seeing Hieu taking drugs, Vuong put them in his bag and kept them for Hieu. When both of them were driving home, they were discovered and arrested by Tan Ky district police. The amount of drugs was later determined to weigh 0.41 grams.
At the investigation agency, Huynh Van Hieu and Cao Thi Vuong confessed to all their crimes. The People's Court sentenced Hieu to 30 months in prison and Vuong to 18 months in prison.
