(Baonghean.vn) - After the first outbreak of African swine fever appeared in Tho Moi hamlet, Nam Cat commune, Nam Dan district on August 4, on August 7, Nam Cat commune had 5 outbreaks in 3 hamlets that were concluded positive for African swine fever.
Thus, in addition to Tho Moi hamlet, African swine fever has spread to Trung Lang and Da Cat hamlets, Nam Cat commune. This commune has destroyed 51 pigs with a total weight of 2,083 kg.

According to the assessment, people as well as pork traders may come into contact with pigs infected with African swine fever from other localities to pig farming households in Nam Cat commune, which is the leading cause of many outbreaks in this locality.

Currently, in Nam Cat commune, there is a total herd of over 900 pigs, mainly raised on family farms, in 12/12 hamlets.
