Nam Dan needs to focus on developing some key, sustainable products.
(Baonghean.vn) - That was the direction of comrade Nguyen Minh Tien - Director, Chief of the Central Office of New Rural Areas at the working session with Nam Dan district on "Building Nam Dan district, Nghe An province to become a model new rural district in the direction of cultural development associated with tourism, period 2018 - 2025" on April 3.
Implementing Decision 17 of the Prime Minister on building a model new rural district, Nam Dan has called for 9 projects and currently 2 works and projects have started construction. Along with focusing on direction and management, the district has also selected 7 communes as model new rural construction sites.

To successfully build a model new rural district, Nam Dan hopes that the Central New Rural Office will support the district in developing products as well as creating tourist landscapes to bring income to the people. Along with that, developing medicinal plant varieties to take advantage of the hilly and sandy areas of Nam Dan.

After visiting the site, surveying models, advantageous products, and characteristics of the locality, the members of the delegation had ideas and proposed directions for Nam Dan to build product brands. Specifically, it is necessary to focus on some key, sustainable products that both create tourist landscapes and bring income to the people such as: lotus, persimmon, lemon, kudzu, peanuts, etc. To "retain" tourists, Nam Dan needs to have a plan and strategy for potentials such as: spiritual tourism, eco-tourism, high-tech agriculture.
