(Baonghean.vn) - According to reported data in Nghe An province, in the first 5 months of 2022 alone, there were 12 traffic accidents caused by students in Nghe An province, killing 7 people and injuring 12 others.

On the morning of June 7, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee coordinated with Vinh University of Technical Education to organize the Program“Students with traffic culture".

Attending the program were Mr. Phan Huy Chuong - Deputy Head of Traffic Safety Committee; representatives of the Provincial Police, Department of Transport, Department of Education and Training, Department of Justice, Provincial Youth Union; Lotte mart Vinh Company.

On behalf of Vinh University of Technical Education, there was Dr. Thai Huu Nguyen - Member of the Party Committee, Vice Principal of the school.

In the first 5 months of 2022, the whole province had 72 road and railway traffic accidents, killing 50 people and injuring 47 people. Compared to the same period in 2021, there were 13 fewer cases, 16 fewer deaths, and 8 fewer injuries. However, the situation of traffic safety and traffic accidents is still complicated. Every day, many lives are threatened by traffic accidents. Sadly, many victims of traffic accidents are students.

Therefore, the Program is organized with the desire to raise awareness among students about traffic safety and order; contributing to creating positive changes in building traffic culture.

At the program, Lotte Vietnam Commercial Center Joint Stock Company also presented 200 helmets and 10 gifts worth 20 million VND to students to encourage and remind each student to be proactive when participating in traffic.

The program organizers also organized a playground with many interesting knowledge called “Students and traffic safety”. Students presented on content related to traffic culture. In addition, many questions were raised to help students better understand the Road Traffic Law.

Speaking at the program, comrade Phan Huy Chuong - Deputy Head of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, hoped that the contest would contribute to improving "traffic culture" for each student in particular as well as everyone in general. Young students, as the future owners of the country, need to have the right thinking and be exemplary in implementing practical solutions to contribute to minimizing traffic accidents./.
