According to locals, the craft of making pots requires a large space for drying and gathering firewood and straw to cook pots. Therefore, old houses with large yards that can be exposed to the sun to dry pots are very suitable for the craft, while new houses with large corrugated iron roofs that cover the entire yard are not very convenient. Ms. Nguyen Thi Luong (52 years old) in Hamlet 6, Tru Son Commune said: During the process of making pots, she borrowed an old house of an acquaintance to practice the profession. When it is sunny, people can make pots indoors, on the porch, dry pots in the yard, and even on the porch. When it rains, it is very convenient to move the pots inside the house.
