Education sector brings early Tet to teachers and students in remote areas
(Baonghean.vn) - Tet gift trips to students and teachers in 6 mountainous districts of Nghe An province have been maintained by the education sector for many years. Behind the small, meaningful gifts are gratitude, sharing and companionship with teachers and students in difficult areas.
Tet gift trips bring joy
The Department of Education and Training’s business trip was organized in the last days of the first semester and tomorrow the students will have Tet holiday. However, the Tet atmosphere still seems quite distant for many teachers and students in the highlands, especially for students with difficult circumstances. A warm coat, a Tet gift... are too much of a luxury for many students’ families at this time.
Coming to Bac Ly commune (Quy Hop),The working group of the Department of Education and Training brought nearly 200 gifts, including 60 gifts for students, 100 gifts for local people and 30 gifts for teachers working at the commune's kindergarten, primary and secondary schools.
From Phiec Kham 1 village (Bac Ly, Quy Hop),Xeo Ma Cho and her husband crossed the mountain road carrying their 4-year-old daughter Xeo Khanh Minh to the commune People's Committee to receive the gift. Holding the gift given by the Director of the Department of Education and Training, she said: Our family has three children, both husband and wife are farmers, we are poor households so we rarely have anything for Tet. Now that we have received the gift, my family is very happy, I will use this money to buy new clothes for my children.

Not only students, many teachers were also moved when they participated in the Tet for the poor program for the first time and received gifts from the Department of Education and Training. Ms. Vi Thi Le is a clerical staff at Chau Kim Kindergarten - Que Phong. After graduating nearly 10 years ago, she had worked in many different jobs, and it was not until 2021 that she was officially on the payroll.
However, with an intermediate level and a short working time, up to now, including the allowance for extremely difficult areas, she only receives 3 million VND per month. With this amount of money, it is really difficult and tiring to cover the family's living expenses...

Tet is coming, but she is filled with worries, while teachers and workers in the education sector rarely think about Tet bonuses and gifts.
That is also the reason why, this year, when receiving the Tet gift from the Department's working group, she was very surprised and touched: We work in remote areas, where hardship and difficulty seem to be familiar.

I myself, like many other colleagues, clearly identify our specific jobs, so we still try to stick with the profession. What makes me happy is that despite the distance, the industry still remembers and cares about teachers in the highlands, and that is the motivation for us to try and do our jobs better.
Through the districts of Ky Son, Que Phong, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, many teachers also shared that, for teachers in the education sector, there is almost no Tet bonus. If there is, in many schools, it is 500-600 thousand.school at least 200-300 thousand VND, taken from the school's savings to encourage teachers to return home for Tet.
Due to these difficulties, for many years now, on the occasion of Tet, the education sector has spent hundreds of millions of dong to go directly to schools to give gifts to teachers and students in difficult circumstances.
On January 11 and 12, the delegation brought nearly 700 gifts to 180 teachers, 360 students and 100 disadvantaged households in 6 districts of Quy Chau, Quy Hop, Con Cuong, Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Que Phong with a total amount of more than 400 million VND. In addition, the industry spent about 600 million VND to give to many teachers and students in other localities. Of this amount, in addition to the source of contributions from the teaching staff in the whole industry, there were also 120 million VND from the Provincial Education Promotion Fund, 360 million VND from TH Group and 50 million VND from the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development.
Overcoming difficulties to care for education in mountainous areas
The program of giving gifts to teachers and students in difficult areas was carried out by the education sector in response to the call of Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy for help.poor peoplewelcoming the Year of the Cat 2033. This activity also demonstrates the spirit of mutual love and support, showing humanity and solidarity of the nation during each Tet holiday.
Through that, we also convey our feelings and show the industry's support for education, teachers and students in mountainous areas.

This is also a meaningful opportunity for education leaders to visit and learn about the teaching situation in schools.
During the trip on January 12, the delegation visited Chau Kim Primary and Secondary School (Que Phong), Bac Ly Commune People's Committee (Ky Son), Tam Dinh Secondary School (Tuong Duong) and Chi Khe Primary School (Con Cuong). Director of the Department of Education and Training Thai Van Thanh was pleased that although they were all located in difficult areas, the schools received attention from local authorities.
Thanks to that, all schools have spacious facilities, meeting all the requirements for teaching and learning. In some remote communes such as Bac Ly commune, preschool, primary and secondary school students are accommodated in boarding schools, helping them have conditions to study, be cared for and learn subjects according to the new General Education Program.

Through this, the education sector also expresses gratitude to teachers who do not hesitate to face difficulties, hardships, and be away from family and home to stay with students in the highlands and take care of and teach them to grow up and mature.
Speaking at the program, the leader of the Department of Education and Training also affirmed that mountainous education has always been one of the contents that the province and the education sector pay special attention to and always create all conditions for schools to fully enjoy the policies of the Party and State, as well as build a number of the province's own policies.

In the coming time, the Department will continue to advise on more programs to invest in building schools and boarding schools at all three levels so that students will have more and more opportunities to access and enjoy advanced educational programs, gradually narrowing the regional gap and improving the quality of education and training.
In the coming time, the industry will also continue to support schools professionally through programs such as "Rooms helping rooms", "Schools helping schools" and create conditions for schools to be equipped with additional teaching equipment and essential tools to serve boarding schools...
In the context that the entire education sector is implementing comprehensive fundamental innovation in education and training, implementing the new General Education program, the Director of the Department of Education and Training suggested that in the coming time, the teaching staff must continuously study, improve their qualifications, access information technology and teaching methods, shifting from knowledge-based teaching to learner-based teaching to help students develop their full potential, promote their talents and strengths, and turn the educational process into self-education.
To do this, teachers also need to be dedicated, diligent in research, and overcome difficulties to adapt to the situation. In addition, schools also need to change their management and education methods. Students need to change their learning methods, work hard, and make efforts to study so that they can become useful people to society in the future.
