According to the report of Nghe An Department of Health: During the holiday of April 30 - May 1, 2023 (from April 29 to May 3, 2023), the whole province recorded 241 cases.COVID-19The number of patients currently being treated is 575, most of the infected cases have mild symptoms or are asymptomatic.

These statistics show that: The number of COVID-19 cases during the 5-day holiday was lower than the previous 5 days (from April 24 to April 28, 2023, there were 393 cases)... However, this is explained by the fact that during this time, the number of people reporting COVID-19 cases was lower than usual, not that the epidemic has been controlled.

Nghe An health sector assessed: During the holiday, economic - social activities, trade, and travel in the area were very busy. This caused the number of new infections in the whole province to tend to increase, especially after the holiday of April 30 - May 1, 2023.

Nghe An health sector recommends: All people need to seriously implement the 2K message (masks, disinfection), along with vaccines, medicines, treatments, technology and other measures to prevent and control COVID-19 in the new situation; wear masks in suspected cases, in public areas, places and crowded places and events.

Also during the April 30 - May 1, 2023 holiday, the whole province recorded 26,797 medical examinations and treatments. The number of recorded deaths was 7 cases (2 in-hospital, 5 out-hospital), of which 5 deaths were due to traffic accidents.
