(Baonghean.vn) - 3 families in Yen Thanh, Dien Chau, Anh Son districts (Nghe An) received phone calls from their children saying "they are safe".

On the morning of November 3, speaking with a reporter from Nghe An Newspaper, a leader of Nghe An Provincial Police confirmed that three families in the area had withdrawn their reports of missing children while crossing the border to England. These families reside in Hoa Thanh Commune (Yen Thanh), Duc Son (Anh Son) and Dien Loc Commune (Dien Chau).

Previously, on October 23, the bodies of 39 people, including 31 men and 8 women, were discovered in a container at the Waterglade Industrial Park (UK). These bodies were identified as illegal immigrants in the process of crossing the border into the UK.

Immediately afterwards, dozens of families in Nghe An and Ha Tinh suspected that their relatives were among them, so they reported to the authorities to receive support.

The Ministry of Public Security has coordinated with the police of Ha Tinh and Nghe An provinces to collect hair and nail samples from many parents who reported their children missing for DNA testing and fingerprint samples of missing people to send to the UK to verify whether they are on the list of 39 bodies or not.

However, in recent days, these 3 families were overwhelmed when they received a phone call from the leopard saying it was "still safe".
Yesterday, Essex Police (UK) announced that the victims of the 39 people found dead in a container truck in the county on October 23 were Vietnamese citizens, but their identities have not been released. Before the announcement, many families in Nghe An and Ha Tinh also received phone calls from the British police confirming that their children were among the 39 bodies.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh sent their deepest condolences to the victims' families.
