Nghe An: Captured fugitive who had been in the deep forest for 13 years with many hot weapons

On the morning of April 15, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Phuc Tu - Head of Tuong Duong District Police said that the unit had just successfully arrested Hoc Van Duc (born in 1964, residing in Huu Duong commune (old), Tuong Duong district) after 13 years of being wanted.

In 2005, Hoc Van Duc was wanted nationwide by the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department (PC47) of Nghe An Police under Decision No. 29 dated October 31, 2005 for the crime of "Illegal drug trafficking".

From Huu Duong commune (old), Hoc Van Duc fled to Nhon Mai commune (Tuong Duong), taking advantage of the mountainous terrain in Xoi village to build a shack to hide. Tuong Duong district police organized many times to arrest this subject but were unsuccessful.

After more than half a month of verification and planning to organize the arrest, at around 11:00 p.m. on April 14, the Criminal - Economic - Drug Crime Investigation Police Team of Tuong Duong District Police successfully arrested Hoc Van Duc while he was hiding in Xoi village, Nhon Mai commune.

The police also seized 1 Kbin gun, 2 Kbin bullets (of which 1 was loaded), 1 ammunition box and 4 homemade guns.

Tuong Duong District Police are completing the file to hand over Hoc Van Duc to PC47 for further investigation according to authority./.
