(Baonghean.vn) - The Food Safety Action Month 2022 takes place from April 15 to May 15 across the province. All levels, sectors and localities will, based on their functions and tasks, deploy communication, inspection, examination and supervision activities on food safety.

Recently, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Plan No. 211/KH-UBND to implement "Month of action for food safety" in Nghe An province in 2022.

The implementation of the Food Safety Action Month aims to strengthen the work of accurate, timely, comprehensive, responsible and honest information and communication on issues related to food safety in order to promote the role and responsibility of organizations, individuals and enterprises in enforcing food safety laws; promote the role of authorities at all levels, management agencies, social organizations and consumer supervision in compliance with food safety laws; strengthen the handling of violations of food safety laws and minimize poisoning due to consumption of unsafe food.

Activities carried out during the Food Safety Action Month include: Organizing the Launching Ceremony and Workshop to popularize the "Food Safety Action Month"; organizing a communication campaign to ensure food safety in many forms; establishing interdisciplinary inspection and examination teams from the provincial level to the commune, ward and town levels; organizing new inspections and post-inspections of organizations and individuals producing, trading and advertising food; departments, branches and localities organizing the establishment of food safety monitoring teams at food production, processing and trading establishments, catering services and monitoring the risk of contamination for commonly used items.
