According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ky Son district, the cause of the outbreak is that these localities had the epidemic before, after a period of control, now the weather is changing seasons, the pathogen has found suitable conditions and has broken out again.
Besides, controlling pigs from the lowlands still faces many difficulties, and the practice of letting livestock roam freely according to the farming practices of the highland people is still common, which is also the reason for the disease to recur and spread quickly.
Ky SonWith a total herd of about 25,000 pigs, local authorities are currently proactively taking measures to prevent and control the epidemic to maintain the herd and ensure supply for the market, especially as the Lunar New Year is approaching.
