The Project Management Board of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development requests the Bac Nghe An Irrigation Company Limited and Do Luong and Do Luong districts.Yen Thanh, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu, Hoang Mai town, notify localities, water plants, and units using water from the main canal to have a plan to store enough water for production and daily life during the water closure period.
It is known that Do Luong Dam was built in 1934 and completed in 1937. After more than 80 years of exploitation and use, many items have now degraded. This is a key project that ensures stable irrigation for more than 28,800 hectares of agricultural land, creating a water supply for industry and daily life for 4 districts of Do Luong, Yen Thanh, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu and Hoang Mai Town.
