Before the exam, Nghe An Newspaper also recorded the opinions of schools on preparations for the 2020 High School Graduation Exam.

Previously, at noon on August 4, the Ministry of Education and Training sent a document to the People's Committees of provinces and cities on organizing the 2020 high school graduation exam in the context of complicated developments of the COVID-19 epidemic according to two exam options.

Specifically, localities implementing social distancing according to Directive No. 16/CT-TTg dated March 31, 2020 of the Prime Minister on implementing urgent measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic (such as Da Nang City and some districts, towns and cities in Quang Nam province) will postpone the exam to an appropriate time; the exam time will be proposed by localities after the COVID-19 epidemic is controlled, ensuring safety for the exam organization.

The remaining localities will organize the exam as planned (from August 8-10, 2020); strictly implement disease prevention and control measures according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Training. To ensure safety and disease prevention during the exam, candidates in the F1 and F2 categories nationwide (if any) will take the exam at the same time as candidates in localities that have to postpone the exam due to social distancing.

In the current context, the Ministry of Education and Training's decision to finalize two exam options is appropriate to reality. Because if the exam is organized for candidates in epidemic areas, even with preventive measures, the candidates' exam psychology will not be guaranteed and may affect their test results. On the contrary, in safe areas, the exam will take place normally, which will create favorable conditions for candidates and their wishes are to take the exam early to rest.

For the Examination Council of Huynh Thuc Khang High School, although the number of candidates taking the exam is large, up to this point, the preparation of facilities and conditions for the 2020 High School Graduation Exam has been completed. The school will equip an examination room with a body temperature measuring machine to check the health of students according to regulations. In recent days, the complicated developments of the Ccovd-19 epidemic have affected the psychology of teachers and students. However, with the Government's control of the epidemic, combined with the preparation of the school's conditions, we also remind candidates to raise awareness to prevent and fight the epidemic.

Nghi Loc 4 High School has 21 exam rooms and 509 candidates. However, up to this point, we have reserved 9 more exam rooms to prepare for the possibility of having to distance candidates.

The preparation process for the 2020 High School Graduation Exam has been completed. Currently, the school has asked homeroom teachers to review all students and students who have difficulties with transportation, economic conditions... will make a list to have a support plan and for them to feel secure to take the exam.

In recent days, we have also been closely following the epidemic situation and the task of the examination sites is to both prevent the epidemic and ensure strict safety. In the condition that the schools are ready, postponing the exam will affect the candidates' mindset, but in Nghe An, this is not really necessary.

This year, the exam took place during a complicated epidemic period, so we proactively grasped the situation and prepared plans to carry out epidemic prevention work, with enough masks, hand sanitizer and body temperature measuring machines for candidates.

Due to the unique characteristics of Cua Lo town as a tourist town, in the past time, we have worked with the Steering Committee for High School Graduation Exams to screen visitors to Cua Lo, especially those who may have returned from epidemic areas to grasp the situation, isolate the area and promptly notify parents and candidates so that they can rest assured. In case there are candidates in the F2, F3 category, at the beginning of each exam session, there will be a medical department and a team of youth volunteers to check their health. If there is a case of a candidate having a fever or being sick, we will have a plan to distance the candidates in the backup exam room.

Faced with the complicated developments of the epidemic, in recent times, the Department of Education and Training has directed schools selected as testing sites to come up with contingency plans such as preparing additional testing rooms to implement social distancing when necessary; carrying out cleaning and disinfection of the entire campus and classrooms; each testing site must be equipped with at least 5 thermometers to measure candidates' body temperature before entering the testing room. Testing sites also need to be ready to prepare hand sanitizer, necessary medicines to ensure enough for candidates during the exam...

In addition, 100% of the examination sites also reserve at least 5 examination rooms to implement a backup plan of arranging examination rooms for candidates who are subject to social distancing (the whole province is expected to have more than 300 rooms). At the same time, the Department of Education and Training will closely coordinate with the Department of Health to review, measure body temperature and check the health of candidates before the exam. Candidates who show signs of cough, fever, etc. will be arranged to take the exam separately in these backup examination rooms, as well as receive necessary medical support during and after the exam.

In the coming days, the Department of Education and Training will continue to closely monitor the epidemic situation and weather conditions to develop a contingency plan to both comply with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and be suitable to the regional characteristics of Nghe An province.

According to the plan, by August 7, all examination sites will be sprayed with disinfectant. We have also directed all examination sites to provide free masks for candidates, 5 masks for each candidate. At the examination sites, additional doctors and medical staff will be sent to support body temperature measurement and health check-ups for candidates.
