Nghe An: Putting Field Hospital No. 2 into operation
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 13, Nghe An officially put Nghe An Field Hospital No. 2 into operation; to admit and treat Covid-19 patients.
On the evening of August 13, the working delegation of the Steering Committee for Epidemic Prevention and ControlCovid-19Nghe An Province Department of Health has come to inspect and activate Nghe An Field Hospital No. 2 into operation.

Nghe An Department of Health has assigned Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoa - Director of Stroke Center, Nghe An General Hospital to be the head of the professional team; mobilized 82 doctors and nurses from 9 medical units to work at Nghe An Field Hospital No. 2.

Field Hospital No. 2 has a capacity of 150 beds, which can be increased to over 200 beds when necessary. Field Hospital No. 2 will admit and treat mild and moderate Covid-19 patients in the province. The hospital officially admitted patients for treatment on August 14.

Currently, Nghe An Field Hospital No. 1 is overloaded (treating 159 patients); in addition, the Provincial General Hospital is treating 60 patients, the Northwestern Regional General Hospital is treating 40 patients. The activated Field Hospital No. 2 has met the treatment needs well, the number of Covid-19 patients is increasing day by day in this 4th wave of the epidemic.

The Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control praised the sense of responsibility of the medical staff who are ready to take on the task; thanked the leaders of Nghia Dan district for always caring, supporting, and creating favorable conditions for the health sector to perform their tasks well; expressed the wish that the medical staff uphold discipline, solidarity, sharing, and successfully complete the task of treating Covid-19 patients, preventing cross-infection, and protecting themselves from being exposed.
