Nghe An: Nearly 30 candidates participate in the 2022 Housekeeping Competition
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 20, in Vinh city, Nghe An Department of Tourism held the opening ceremony of the 2022 Room Service Competition.
Attending the opening ceremony were leaders of the Department of Tourism; representatives of provincial departments, branches and units; tourism students from local schools and nearly 30 candidates from 17 accommodation establishments across the province.

In her opening speech, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh An - Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Competition stated: The 2022 Nghe An Provincial Room Service Competition aims to improve service quality and enhance the skills of room service staff working at accommodation establishments.tourismin the province; thereby, contributing to improving the quality of products and services and honoring individuals in the tourism industry with good expertise and professionalism.

The competition is a meaningful activity for managers and room service staff to have the opportunity to exchange and share professional experiences. At the same time, this is an opportunity for contestants to demonstrate their skills, expertise and professionalism in the service process.
Along with that, the competition helps the tourism industry have an accurate assessment of the quantity and quality of the room service workforce to develop plans to attract, train, retrain and foster human resources in the coming time.

The 2022 Nghe An Provincial Housekeeping Competition takes place over 3 days (from September 19 to 21). Contestants will go through 2 rounds (preliminary and final rounds) with the following sections: Theory test; self-introduction and accommodation establishment introduction; bed making practice; bed making and bed decoration according to a self-selected theme and situation handling.
