Nghe An: One arrest of 3 gambling and drug cases

Captain Hoang Anh Dung - Deputy Chief of Que Phong District Police said that on the morning of November 16, the police force arrested Luong Van Viet (born in 1969), residing in Tang village (Tien Phong commune) for the act of "Illegal drug trafficking", confiscating at the scene 17 packages of heroin weighing 3.35 grams and 100,000 VND.

Less than an hour later, at 10:45 a.m. the same day, while patrolling on Highway 16 in the area of ​​​​Dua hamlet (Muong Noc commune), the Traffic Police working group discovered and arrested Lo Van Doan, residing in Pa Ca village (Muong Noc commune) for the act of "Illegal drug trafficking", confiscating 0.3g of heroin and 150,000 VND.

Previously, at around 1:00 a.m. on November 16, at Mo village (Nam Nhoong commune), a working group of Que Phong district police raided and arrested 4 subjects on the spot: Mong Van Cuong (born 1980), Mong Van Quy (born 1988), Cut Van Loc (born 1993), all residing in Mo village, and Vi Van Tuan (born 1983), residing in Pun village (Cam Muon commune), who were gambling, confiscating more than 33 million VND, 1 deck of playing cards, and 1 pickup truck.

It is known that on November 16, Que Phong District Police organized a campaign to attack and suppress criminals to ensure security and safety for people before and after the Lunar New Year 2019. After only a few hours of launching, they achieved encouraging results, contributing to maintaining security and order in the mountainous border district.
