Nghe An: Many 'suspended' projects are targeted for inspection in 2022
(Baonghean.vn) - Vinh City People's Committee has just sent a document to the Department of Planning and Investment reporting and requesting an inspection of slow-progressing projects in the area.
According to the List ofproject behind scheduleEstablished by Vinh City People's Committee, requested the Department of Planning and Investment to inspect, there are a total of 53 projects behind schedule. Specifically:
Project of Office for lease and high-rise commercial housing of Thanh Thanh Dat Company Limited; Project of Commercial service area associated with housing and office of Construction and Investment Joint Stock Company 492; Project of Office area, apartment and adjacent housing of Mechanical and Construction Joint Stock Company 465; Project of Trade center, service hotel, housing and luxury villas of Thanh Thai Thinh Company Limited; Project of Dong Dau urban area combined with housing for low-income people of Dai Hue Investment Construction and Trading Joint Stock Company.

Leading to the slow progress of the project synthesis and reporting and request for inspection, the reasons stated by Vinh City People's Committee in the document sent to the Department of Planning and Investment are as follows:
“Performing the tasks assigned by the People's Committee of Nghe An province in Decision No. 25/2018/QD-UBND dated May 24, 2018 on promulgating regulations on coordination in inspection and post-inspection handling of direct investment projects in Nghe An province and Official Dispatch No. 459/SKHDT-DN dated February 14, 2022 of the Department of Planning and Investment on reviewing the list of projects behind schedule and not implemented in 2022 in Vinh city”.
December 9, 2021,Provincial People's CouncilIssue Resolution No. 70/NQ-HDND to establish a specialized Supervision Team of the Provincial People's Council "On suspended projects, slow-progress projects and projects using land for the wrong purpose in Nghe An province".

According to Resolution No. 70/NQ-HDND, the scope of supervision of the Provincial People's Council's Thematic Supervision Delegation is suspended projects, slow-progress projects and projects using land for the wrong purpose in Nghe An province from 2016 to December 31, 2021.
In the supervision content, the Provincial People's Council's Thematic Supervision Delegation will evaluate the achieved results; at the same time, focus on clarifying the shortcomings, limitations and causes, responsibilities and solutions in the law enforcement of investment projects in the province./.
