Nghe An province aims to have 80% of its craft villages operating effectively by 2030.
(Baonghean.vn) - The Provincial People's Committee has just approved the Project for the Preservation and Development of Craft Villages in the province for the period 2023 - 2030. Accordingly, the goal is to have 80% of craft villages and traditional craft villages operating effectively by 2030.
The People's Committee of Nghe An province recently issued Decision No. 3238/QD-UBND dated October 4th, approving the Project on Preservation and Development of Traditional Craft Villages for the period 2023 - 2030.

The project aims to preserve and develop.craft villagesThis aims to preserve and promote the traditional cultural values and identity of craft villages in Nghe An province, boost production development, enhance competitiveness and added value of craft village products; create jobs and improve people's lives; protect the landscape, space and environment, build residential areas and cultural villages, and contribute to promoting sustainable rural socio-economic development.
Target by 2025, restore and preserve at least 01traditional craftsand one traditional craft village at risk of disappearing or being lost. At least 18 new craft villages will be recognized, including at least one traditional craft village, of which two are linked to tourism. Over 70% of craft villages and traditional craft villages will operate effectively.

At least 80% of workers in craft villages receive training, retraining, and advanced training in vocational skills, occupational safety and hygiene skills, and basic information technology knowledge; the goal is to organize 3-4 vocational training and skills transfer classes in craft villages each year.
There is at least one traditional craft village and six craft villages with products classified under the "One Commune One Product" (OCOP) program.
At least 4% of craft villages have products protected by trademarks; at least 3 cooperatives are established in craft villages to promote linkages along the value chain.
The average annual growth rate of production value in craft villages is approximately 10%. The average income of workers has increased by at least 1.3 times compared to 2020. The export value of handicrafts from craft villages has reached approximately 7 million USD per year.
At least 90% of production facilities and households in the craft village comply with environmental protection regulations.
By 2030Restore and preserve at least 2 traditional crafts and 2 traditional craft villages at risk of disappearing or being lost. Recognize at least 30 new craft villages, including at least 3 traditional craft villages, of which 4 are linked to tourism. Over 80% of craft villages and traditional craft villages operate effectively.

There is at least one traditional craft village and 12 craft villages with products classified under the "One Commune One Product" (OCOP) program.
At least 20% of craft villages have products protected by trademarks; at least 20 cooperatives should be established within craft villages to promote value chain linkages.
The average annual growth rate of production value in craft villages is approximately 10%. The average income of workers has increased by at least twofold compared to 2020. Export turnover of handicrafts from craft villages has reached approximately US$8.5 million per year. 100% of production facilities and households in craft villages comply with environmental protection regulations.
The funding for the implementation period from 2023 to 2025 is over 400,710 million VND, of which the State provides more than 24 billion VND; and the budget from craft villages is 376,680 million VND.
The target for the period 2026-2030 is 914.164 million VND, of which the State budget will provide over 48.750 million VND in support.
Nghe An prioritizes the allocation and integration of resources to implement policies supporting and encouraging the development of craft villages as stipulated in Decree No. 52/2018/ND-CP on the development of rural industries; Resolution No. 06/2029/NQ-HĐND of the Provincial People's Council on some policies supporting the development of rural industries in Nghe An province; and other support policies as prescribed by current law, aiming to support the development of craft villages.
