(Baonghean.vn) - The Provincial People's Committee has just approved the Project on Preservation and Development of Craft Villages in the province for the period 2023 - 2030. Accordingly, the goal is that by 2030, 80% of craft villages and traditional craft villages will operate effectively.

Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 3238/QD-UBND dated October 4, approving the Project on Preservation and Development of Craft Villages for the period 2023 - 2030.

The project aims to preserve and developcraft village, to preserve and promote the values ​​and traditional cultural identities of craft villages in Nghe An province, promote production development, improve competitiveness and added value of craft village products; create jobs and improve people's lives; protect landscapes, space and environment, build residential areas and cultural villages, contributing to promoting sustainable rural socio-economic development.

Target by 2025, restore and preserve at least 01traditional professionand 01 traditional craft village at risk of fading away and being lost. At least 18 new craft villages were recognized, at least 01 traditional craft village, of which 02 were associated with tourism. Over 70% of craft villages and traditional craft villages were operating effectively.

At least 80% of workers in craft villages are trained, retrained, and have advanced vocational skills, occupational safety and hygiene skills, and basic information technology knowledge; strive to organize 3-4 vocational training and transfer classes in craft villages each year.

There is at least 01 traditional craft village and 06 craft villages with products classified according to the "One Commune One Product" (OCOP) Program.

At least 4% of craft villages have products with protected trademarks; establish at least 3 cooperatives in craft villages to promote linkages along the value chain.

The average growth rate of production value of craft villages is about 10%/year. The average income of workers increases at least 1.3 times compared to 2020. The export turnover of handicrafts of craft villages reaches about 7 million USD/year.

At least 90% of production facilities and households in craft villages meet environmental protection regulations.

By 2030, restore and preserve at least 02 traditional occupations and 02 traditional craft villages at risk of fading away or being lost. Recognize at least 30 new craft villages, at least 03 traditional craft villages, of which 04 are associated with tourism. Over 80% of craft villages and traditional craft villages operate effectively.

The export turnover of handicrafts of craft villages reaches about 8.5 million USD/year. 100% of production establishments and households in craft villages meet environmental protection regulations.

The budget for implementation in the period of 2023 - 2025 is over 400,710 million VND, of which the State supports more than 24 billion VND; the budget from craft villages is 376,680 million VND.

The period 2026 - 2030 is 914,164 million VND, of which the State budget supports more than 48,750 million VND.

Nghe An prioritizes the arrangement and integration of resource mobilization to implement policies to support and encourage the development of craft villages according to the provisions of Decree No. 52/2018/ND-CP on rural industry development; Resolution No. 06/2029/NQ-HDND of the province on a number of policies to support the development of rural industries in Nghe An and other support policies according to the provisions of current law, in order to support the development of craft villages.
