(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 8, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs held a conference to deploy tasks for labor, meritorious people and social affairs in 2016.

Attending the event were comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of provincial departments and branches.

In 2015, the work of labor, meritorious people and society achieved some remarkable results such as: Creating jobs for 38,000 workers (reaching 104.1% of the plan, up 2.7% compared to 2014), of which 12,800 people were exported; Recruiting and training 79,068 people.

In 2016, the provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs strives to complete the following targets: Creating new jobs for 37,500 workers, including 12,500 laborers exported; Recruiting and training 76,000 workers.

Deploying investigation and review of poor and near-poor households using a multidimensional approach, striving to reduce the poverty rate of the whole province by 2%-3% according to the poverty standard for the period 2016-2020; Collecting over 16 billion VND from the Gratitude Fund; Receiving and rehabilitating 1,500 new drug addicts...

Speaking at the Conference, comrade Le Xuan Dai Dao praised the achievements of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in 2015, and requested that in 2016, the Department should implement synchronous measures to create more jobs on the spot, expand labor supply and export activities, especially in high-income markets. Strongly develop socialization in vocational training, invest in development, increase the scale and improve the capacity of vocational training facilities in mountainous districts.
