The program "Tet for the poor" has been implemented since 2014 and after 6 years of implementation, it has created a wide spread, with the participation and response of all levels, sectors, agencies, units, businesses, philanthropists and people inside and outside the province.
Accordingly, the mobilization results of the following year are higher than the previous year; for the 2018 Lunar New Year alone, the whole province mobilized more than 65 billion VND to support the poor and families in especially difficult circumstances to celebrate Tet.
In addition to the responsibility of mobilizing and participating in support of provincial departments, branches and organizations; 21 districts, cities and towns in the province also actively mobilize organizations, individuals and philanthropists to support the poor and families in difficult circumstances.

The whole province currently has over 53,000 poor households, more than 70,000 near-poor households and many households in especially difficult circumstances that need the help of society, especially during the Lunar New Year 2019, so that every family can have Tet.
At the meeting, some districts shared some experiences in mobilizing resources to help the poor during Tet as well as recommendations to avoid overlapping in the mobilization of some organizations and socio-political groups and avoid overlapping resource allocation, with some places having more, some places having less, and some people having more, some people having less.
Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Van Huy - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, emphasized: The Tet program for the poor in the year of the Pig 2019 was assigned by the Provincial Party Committee to the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to preside over and implement; this is both the responsibility and the key task of the "brand" of the Fatherland Front agencies from the province to the grassroots, and also demonstrates profound humanistic ethics.
Therefore, the Fatherland Front Committees at district and commune levels need to clearly identify the top priority tasks from now until the Lunar New Year to develop a plan to mobilize and support the poor and families in especially difficult circumstances.
Along with providing cash and material support so that every family can have Tet, the Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee also requested that localities pay attention to supporting the implementation of programs to help households rise up and sustainably reduce poverty, through activities of supporting seeds, animals, medicine, education, and support for the demolition of damaged and makeshift houses.

Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Van Huy also said that the results of the mobilization in the past year of Mau Tuat at the district and commune levels accounted for nearly half of the total mobilized resources; therefore, the Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front and the organizations at the district and commune levels need to be highly determined in implementing the Tet for the poor program in the year of Ky Hoi 2019, contributing together with the province, businesses and philanthropists to help and support more the poor and families in especially difficult circumstances.
The Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee also noted that the Fatherland Front at district and commune levels needs to review and grasp the circumstances of each poor household and family with especially difficult circumstances, on that basis, classify so that when there is mobilized resources, they can allocate them promptly and according to each priority group, avoiding those who need priority support first but are not supported and vice versa; at the same time, avoid being passive when there is a new source of funding to discuss allocation, where and for whom?
According to the plan, the mobilization will be carried out from now until Lunar New Year and the time for distributing and giving gifts directly to the beneficiaries will be from January 16 to 22, 2019 (ie December 11 to 18 of the lunar calendar). The goal is to strive to mobilize more than 65 billion VND.
