According to the report of the Traffic Police of Yen Thanh District, after receiving information that the San Hien passenger bus with license plate number 29B - 616.80 was carrying passengers from the Covid-19 epidemic area,Ho Chi Minh City to Nghe An, Yen Thanh District Police reported to the Provincial Police leaders, the Provincial Police quickly directed the functional forces at Ben Thuy bridge checkpoint (Vinh City) to deploy inspection.

At around 2am on July 14, the authorities at Ben Thuy bridge checkpoint discovered the above passenger bus. Upon inspection, there were 20 people on the bus returning from the epidemic area of ​​Ho Chi Minh City, including 4 people from Dien Chau district and 16 people from Yen Thanh district. The Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control requested centralized medical isolation for 4 people in Dien Thinh commune - Dien Chau and 16 people at Long Thanh commune Kindergarten (Yen Thanh). At around 4am on the same day, the health agency took Covid-19 test samples for 20 people returning from the epidemic area.

Previously, at 2:00 p.m. on July 13, the Traffic Police of Yen Thanh District Police discovered and handled a passenger car with license plate 37B - 020.76 of San Hien bus company carrying 20 people from the Covid-19 epidemic areas of Hanoi and Bac Ninh to Yen Thanh district buthave not yet completed the declaration procedures andtestmedical as recommended by the authorities.

Upon inspection, the bus company only had a contract to transport passengers on the Nghe An - Bac Ninh route, but no contract in the opposite direction. Of the 20 passengers, 14 were returning from Hanoi and 6 were returning from Bac Ninh, two localities where the Covid-19 epidemic is currently complicated.

To ensure safety in preventing the Covid-19 epidemic, the District Steering Committee quickly tested all of these passengers with negative results and were taken to the medical stations where their households were registered to make medical declarations, monitor their health and quarantine according to regulations on preventing and controlling Covid-19.
