Nghe An: 56 cases of alcohol concentration violations detected on National Highway 1A
(Baonghean.vn) - National Highway 1A is identified as a key traffic route, with a large volume of people and vehicles participating in traffic, therefore, along with patrolling and controlling other violations, Dien Chau Traffic Police Station (Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police) strengthens alcohol concentration control at all times of the day, with the goal of reducing traffic accidents.
Control at all hours of the day
Following the working group of Dien Chau Traffic Police Station on an early afternoon in June. Although not implementing a separate alcohol concentration topic, through patrolling and controlling the area near Cuong Temple, from 12-13 o'clock, the force checked over 10 cases, of which 3 cases hadalcohol concentrationexceed the prescribed level.
According to the record, drivers expressed their agreement with the Traffic Police's approach. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tuyen, a car driver, said, "Administrative sanctions according to Decree 100-ND/CP need to be maintained more regularly, especially now that the Covid-19 epidemic has been controlled. Because if people who have drunk alcohol or beer drive vehicles, it will be a danger to many people. For example, the case of an Audi driver causing an accident that killed 3 people in a family in Bac Giang, the cause was discovered to be due to previous alcohol use."

However, each violator has their own excuse. For example, at 1 p.m., the test of driver D.Q, driving a car with license plate 37A-76xxx, showed a breath alcohol concentration of 0.072 mg/liter. The working group drew up a record to handle the case according to the law.
Specifically, with the above alcohol concentration results, the driver was fined 7 million VND, had his driver's license revoked for 10-12 months, and had his vehicle impounded for 7 days. Explaining why he had consumed alcohol and beer while driving, driver D.Q. said that there was a funeral in Hoang Mai today so he... could not refuse.

That amount of money to pay the fine is equivalent to losing half a month's income. Therefore, this will be a lesson for life so that every time I drink beer or wine, I will definitely not drive."
Strengthen inspection and handling

It is worth mentioning that the situation of drinking alcohol and driving does not only happen on holidays, but happens every day.
