Nghe An detects over 4,200 cases of alcohol concentration violations

Implementing Plan 32/KH-CAT-PC08-PV01 dated February 3, 2023 of Nghe An Provincial Police on patrolling, controlling, and handling violations under the topic "People driving on the road with drugs in their body, violating speed,alcohol concentration"From February 3 to now, Nghe An Traffic Police have organized 6,964 patrols, with 33,143 officers participating; recorded 10,167 violations.

Of which, 4,298 cases of alcohol concentration violations, 4,298 vehicles were detained, 2,571 driving licenses were revoked, corresponding to a fine of 14,537,171 thousand VND.

95 cases of drug-related vehicle driving, 5,774 cases of speeding violations, 460 vehicles detained, 1,452 driving licenses revoked, corresponding to a fine of 9,519,886 thousand VND.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Nam Hong - Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department, Nghe An Police said: Determining that drivers on the road with drugs in their bodies, speeding violations, and alcohol concentration are the main causes of traffic accidents. In the coming time, along with promoting the effectiveness of the cold-fine camera system, the Traffic Police force will continue to increase patrols and controls on traffic routes to detect the above violations, accordingly, regularly changing the time and method of operation, with the view that any violation will be handled.
