Nghe An reviews proposals to amend and abolish legal documents issued by the Provincial People's Council
(Baonghean.vn) - Reviewing legal documents issued by the Provincial People's Council plays an important role in detecting illegal, contradictory, overlapping, expired or no longer suitable regulations for socio-economic development in order to promptly amend and supplement them.
On the morning of November 6, under the chairmanship of comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to and give opinions on the Draft Resolution of the Provincial People's Council approving the results of reviewing legal documents issued by the People's Council from September 30, 2023 and earlier.

After the resolutions of the Provincial People's Council are issued, the Provincial People's Committee promptly implements them. All levels and sectors proactively develop plans to organize and implement resolutions suitable for each subject to bring the policies into life.
Through the results of reviewing and systematizing 284 legal normative resolutions issued by the People's Council of Nghe An province in the 2019-2023 term, there are 198 legal normative resolutions that are still in effect; 86 legal normative resolutions have completely expired; 16 legal normative resolutions have partially expired; 13 legal normative resolutions have been amended, supplemented, replaced or abolished.

The report submitted by the Department of Justice to the Provincial People's Committee also proposed to systematize 198 legal normative resolutions that are still in effect; at the same time, abolish all 5 resolutions of the Nghe An Provincial People's Council that are no longer appropriate.

Based on Decision No. 1059 of the Prime Minister approving the planning of Nghe An province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, the Department of Justice proposes to continue to enforce the Resolutions on planning in all fields to ensure the legality of planning-related activities that have been and are being implemented.

Concluding the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh emphasized that the review of legal documents issued by the Provincial People's Council plays an important role in detecting illegal, contradictory, overlapping, expired or no longer suitable regulations for socio-economic development, promptly amending, supplementing, abolishing, issuing new documents or replacing legal documents, contributing to perfecting the legal system, creating favorable conditions for agencies, organizations and individuals in applying and implementing resolutions, mechanisms and policies issued by the Provincial People's Council.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh requested relevant departments and branches to continue to carefully review and scrutinize. After reviewing and clarifying the contents that need to be revised, supplemented, replaced, or abolished, send a written document to the Department of Justice to synthesize and submit to the Provincial People's Committee./.
