Nghe An will organize a festival of innovative startups and honor 20 outstanding scientists.
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An Open Innovation and Startup Festival 2023 (Techfest Nghe An Open 2023) is organized by Nghe An province on October 12 and 13, 2023 in Vinh City.
The above information was announced by comrade Nguyen Quy Linh - Director of Nghe An Department of Science and Technology at the Press Conference in October 2023.
The conference was organized by the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Information and Communications, and the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association on the morning of October 6. Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department attended and directed the conference.
Comrades: Pham Ngoc Canh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Nguyen Ba Hao - Deputy Director of Nghe An Department of Information and Communications co-chaired the Conference.
Nghe An Open Innovation and Startup Festival 2023 with the theme "Connecting Founders" will take place in a series of 8 events.
First of all, it is to display and introduce products and works that won the 2023 science and technology innovation award, potential startup project products; the final round of the contest to find innovative and creative startup talents (currently 22 projects have been selected for the final round).
The Department of Market and Enterprise Development - Ministry of Science and Technology will coordinate with the Department of Science and Technology of Nghe An, Vietnam Beauty Care Technology Village (Techfest Beauty Tech 2023) to organize the "Beauty Tech Startup Talent" Contest in 2023. The contest will be held at Vinh Medical University. Participants are experts, scientists, and startups in the field of beauty technology.
Along with that, Nghe An Department of Science and Technology will organize a Talkshow: "Application of Blockchain in digital transformation" with the participation of speaker Dr. Dang Minh Tuan - Chairman of Vietnam Blockchain Alliance, Director of CMC Institute of Applied Research.
To create opportunities for potential startup projects to raise capital from startup supporters, investors, and investment funds, thereby promoting negotiations, commitments, and signing investment agreements, the Organizing Committee also organizes the Investment Connection Conference in 2023; at the same time, organizes a Workshop to promote connections and develop the innovative startup ecosystem in the North Central region.
The focus of the series of events is the Nghe An Open Innovation and Startup Festival 2023 (Techfest Nghe An Open 2023) officially opening on the morning of October 13, 2023 and the Science and Technology Innovation Award Ceremony; The contest to find innovative and creative startup talents in Nghe An Open and honor outstanding scientists of Nghe An province in 2023 will be held on the evening of the same day.
Within the framework of the award ceremony, the Organizing Committee will honor 20 outstanding scientists who have contributed to the economic and social development of Nghe An province; award the Nghe An Open Innovation and Startup Talent Search Contest 2023, including 10 prizes: 1 First prize, 2 Second prizes, 3 Third prizes and 4 Encouragement prizes.
The Organizing Committee will also award the Nghe An Science and Technology Innovation Award 2023 to 75 winning projects/133 participating projects, including: 1 Special Prize, 14 First Prizes, 19 Second Prizes, 21 Third Prizes and 20 Encouragement Prizes.
Nghe An organizes an open innovation and creativity start-up festival to raise awareness, promote the spirit of start-up and innovation at all levels, sectors, research institutes, universities, colleges, business community, organizations, individuals and students in the province, contributing to enhancing the culture of start-up.
At the same time, forming innovative and creative thinking in production and business of agencies and enterprises; creating motivation and spreading the spirit of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial spirit in every citizen; creating a culture of entrepreneurship; linking the national and provincial innovation and creative startup ecosystems in the North Central region.
Through this event, we also aim to build and connect a network of experts, innovative startup consultants, investors, investment funds in the province, domestically and internationally with the innovative startup ecosystem of Nghe An.
At the same time, promote the connection of innovative and creative startup ecosystems, connect ecosystem subjects, display and introduce scientific and technological products, startup products, and typical products of Nghe An.
Forming a network connecting Vietnamese talents in general and Nghe An people in particular in the province, domestically and internationally to support the innovative startup ecosystem in Nghe An province; building Nghe An into one of the innovative startup centers of the region and the whole country. Gradually developing Vinh city into an innovation center of the North Central region.
Talking with leaders of press agencies and journalists at the Press Conference, Director of Nghe An Department of Science and Technology Nguyen Quy Linh affirmed the necessity of press agencies participating in promoting the event, thereby spreading and bringing positive effects to Techfest Nghe An Open 2023 in particular, as well as other science and technology activities in general in the area.
