According to the reporter's records, on September 2, passenger buses running on the Vinh - Hanoi, Vinh - Hue, Vinh - Da Nang routes... were all sold out. The owner of a bus company on the Vinh - Hue route wrote: "On September 2, all of our buses were full, and we even had to turn away customers who called to book tickets because they were too crowded. All passengers with tickets on the bus today had booked their tickets 3-5 days ago."

A bus owner running the Vinh - Hanoi route said: "Today and even on September 3rd, most of the buses running the Vinh - Hanoi route are sold out. Our bus company has 4 trips/day, each bus has 32 seats but all are sold out."
Not only in Vinh City but also in the districts, getting a bus ticket is not easy. Mr. Phan Van Thong, Thanh Yen Commune, Thanh Chuong District said: "Buying tickets at this time is extremely difficult, so to get tickets at this time, as soon as I returned to my hometown on the evening of August 30, I booked a ticket for September 2."

Mr. Thong added that the bus from Thanh Chuong straight to Hanoi costs 170,000 VND on normal days, but on this holiday it has increased to 200,000 VND. The ticket price is high but everyone has to accept it to get to work on time.
Due to lack of tickets, many people had to gather on major routes such as National Highway 1A, National Highway 7, National Highway 48… to catch a bus. However, catching a bus along this route carries many risks such as paying high fares and being overcrowded.
Not only bus tickets but also train tickets for Vinh - Hanoi, Vinh - Saigon, Vinh - Hue... routes are sold out today. On the online ticket purchasing website of Vietnam Railways, most of the train cars are full of passengers. For example, on the Vinh - Hanoi route on September 2, there are 12 trains serving passengers including: NA2, SE8, SE6, SE10, SE4... but only 4/12 trains have empty seats including: NA4, QB4, NA8, QB2. However, it is predicted that the remaining empty seats will be filled because the number of customers booking is still increasing.

Since this morning, the largest number of passengers have been traveling on the Vinh - Hanoi and Vinh - Da Nang routes. The Nghe An Department of Transport has issued badges to 120 additional buses for the post-holiday period, ensuring there is no shortage of buses for people to travel.

This year's National Day holiday on September 2nd is only 3 days long, so according to forecasts from transport businesses, people's travel demand will not increase too much compared to a normal weekend.
