Nghe An strengthens cooperation and investment and trade connection with other provinces
(Baonghean.vn) - In order to attract investment and tourists, recently, Nghe An Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center has continuously made working trips to other provinces to learn and sign agreements. This is not only a bridge to develop tourism but also an opportunity for Nghe An's products to reach larger markets nationwide.
Strengthening connections, finding markets
To realize the goal of connecting and finding markets, right after its establishment in 2020,Nghe An Province Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center(NAPC) has many activities. On the one hand, along with completing regulations on the functions and tasks of the center for the Chairman of the People's Committee to approve, the center conducts a series of promotional activities with localities and provinces.

Based on reviewing signed agreements, NAPC Center has had working trips to the Central Highlands, Hanoi, Quang Ninh... in which, bilateral minutes have been signed with Dak Lak, Lam Dong provinces and soon Hanoi.
Through surveys and working sessions, NAPC signed bilateral agreements with localities, including agreements to support each other ininvestment, trade and tourism promotion activitiesSpecifically, introduce business customers to participate in each other's trade fair activities, have a policy of reducing ticket prices when visitors travel...; each locality works with travel companies, tour operators and airlines to ensure smooth passenger transport routes.
Immediately after its establishment, NAPC Center continuously carried out promotional activities to not only connect Nghe An tourism with other provinces and vice versa, but also connect and bring typical products and brands of Nghe An to the large markets of other provinces.
In fact, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, investment, trade and tourism promotion activities in 2020 were seriously affected. After the Covid-19 epidemic was controlled, but with only 3 months left, the NAPC Center not only raced against time to make up for lost time but also tried to design and build coordination mechanisms with the province and locality to create momentum for next year.

Overcoming existing problems and limitations
Recently, during a business trip to the Central Highlands, we noticed that while the flight from Vinh to Buon Ma Thuot was packed with 240/240 passengers and when landing, most of them were tourists, in the opposite direction, the flight from Lien Khuong (Da Lat) to Vinh only reached about 70% of seat capacity, in which, many Nghe An people returned to their hometown to visit relatives.
At the working sessions with Lam Dong Tourism Association, in the spirit of learning and listening, a representative of a Lam Dong travel company shared: Nghe An has many interesting tourist destinations, but due to lack of information, up to now, many people only know that Nghe An is Uncle Ho's hometown and has Cua Lo beach, the rest do not know any tourist destinations. Not only that, the quality of service and the connection between tourist destinations and tours also have weaknesses.

Airlines have not yet had a policy to reduce airfares for tourists following the stimulus program of each province; some airlines are even willing to reduce and cancel flights when there are no passengers, making it very difficult for tourists to travel.

Due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, the province's investment promotion event at the beginning of the year could not be held, and trade and tourism investment promotion activities were also postponed to the end of the year. However, according to the provincial leaders, investment promotion activities in general and trade and tourism in particular will change from large-scale promotion to proactive contact, focused and key accompaniment with each investor, so in general, the work progress is still guaranteed. The province has approached a number of large investors in the investment promotion area. For the trade sector, the most important thing is that domestic enterprises must make efforts to create quality products and typical Nghe An products to introduce to friends across the country.
